Fun facts
Due to the increase in water temperature as a result of global warming, its distribution is changing and has started to show up further north, up to California, U.S.A.
Labrosimid blennies such as the Largemouth are small and flexible to move among the rocks and find refuge in seashells and crevices.
General aspects
It is of greenish-brown color with dark lateral stripes, a black spot on the back fin and small white spots on its head and body. It has fringed tentacles (cirri) above each eye and on the back of its neck, and a big mouth.
It lives in shallow waters and on rocks covered with algae.
It feeds on floor crustaceans such as small crabs.
