Fun facts
It is only found in the Gulf of California coast. That is to say, that it is endemic to this zone.
It tolerates temperatures of up to 50°F.
General aspects
It has a thin head, pointy snout and small nose. Its back is green and its chest and belly are white, with four or five dark brown stripes on its sides. It has a pair of tentacles (cirri) on the back of its neck and above its eyes.
During mating season, males have dark fins and bright orange sides with blue spots.
It feeds on small crustaceans.
It lives in shallow waters, coral and rocky reefs, among marine algae.
