Fun facts
It is the most dominant shrimp crop species in the world.
It has a couple of glands on its antennae with an excretory function, where you could say that it “pee” through its antennae.
General aspects
It can be translucid, bluish or olive green in color, with dark stripes and brownish-red antennules, but it is distinguished by its 10 white legs.
Its body is elongated and segmented, covered with an exoskeleton. It has thirteen pairs of appendages (like antennae).
This crustacean feeds on plankton and organic waste.
