Fun facts
They deposit their eggs in crevices among the rocks in strong tidal zones, where males protect and aerate them.
General aspects
Adults have a hunchback, and can be of a gray, dark or slate brown color, sometimes with a white or yellowish head. Juveniles are of a bright blue color on top, and orange on their underside.
It lives in rocky coastal reefs, by the surf zone and tides.
If feeds mainly on benthic microalgae, crustaceans and bristle worms.
