Fun facts
Its silver color (due to guanine crystals) gives its body a mirror effect, that it can control to either tone down its reflection or to strengthen it, to improve its camouflage.
General aspects
It is a fish of coastal waters. Its silver body is of a compressed, pentagonal shape. It can measure up to 10 inches in length.
It lives in shallow coastal waters, in small banks close to the seabed.
It feeds on small squids, shrimp, bristle worms and small fish.
