Fun facts
It uses its tubular snout to ingest its food, similar to a Seahorse.
It is monogamous, and the male carries the eggs in an offspring pouch located under its tail.
General aspects
It has a long snout with a central, thorny crest. It´s of a reddish-brown color, with a blue band at the top of its body and another black one on the sides of its snout.
It is uncommon, and disguises itself well; it prefers to stay in cracks found in rocks and corals, and areas under fractured seabeds.
It feeds on small crustaceans and plankton.
