General aspects
It has an elongated oval shape, a head with a steep profile and eyes positioned high on its head. Of a white to light greenish-grey color, with 6 narrow lines on its head and body.
Adults live in lagoon and ocean reefs with a firm substrate, while juveniles are abundant in tide pools.
They feed on microalgae.
