It´s an ovoviviparous species, meaning that it breeds its offspring in eggs, which it keeps inside its body until they are born.
General aspects
It has an oval-shaped body, with big eyes and a slim tail with a thorn. It is distributed from the Gulf of California to Peru and Chile, at a depth of between 3 and 197 ft. It feeds mainly on small crustaceans, mollusks, bristle worms and small fish.
