Lifespan of up to 25 to 30 years.
It is not poisonous.
It´s name says it all: it constricts and squeezes its prey to suffocate, then eat them. However, it cannot eat large preys. It seems that some Boas have died trying to eat possums.
General aspects
It measures 6.5 to 10 feet. Grey body with backside markings. Head has 3 dark stripes.
It is most active in the afternoon and evening. It is solitary.
